So what makes this tree so awesome?
Acacia berlandieri is found in the Southwest US and Northeast Mexico.
Other than being a cool looking tree which blossoms through February to April, it also has a special trick up it’s sleeve. This tree has been known to contain various alkaloids that make domestic animals rather sick. But what alkaloids are those?
N-methylphenethylamine, tyramine, phenethylamine, and trace amounts of: amphetamine, methamphetamine, N,N-dimethylamphetamine, p-hydroxyamphetamine, p-methoxyamphetamine, DMT, Nicotine and Mescaline.
